Technology Festival
The OUSD 3rd Annual Technology Festival will be on Saturday, February 20, from 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM at Orange High School. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. 30 iPad minis with AirServer will be raffled off at the end of the festival, and you must be present to win! The day includes sessions on technology integration, blended learning, and personalization. A student showcase begins at 10:30 and runs until 12. The schedule will be posted next week with all presenters and titles of sessions. The day also includes a vendor showcase and an EdCamp session during each time frame. Microsoft 101
Teachers will be able to enhance their students’ writing and collaborative work by using Word through Office 365. They will be comfortable sharing work through OneDrive and understand how to effectively use Office 365. This course will be offered on February 1.
Tech. in Daily 5
This course is designed for those who are implementing or looking to implement the Daily 5 program in their classrooms and would like to integrate technology. This course will be offered on February 1.
Haiku 201
At the conclusion of this course, teachers will be able to utilize their Haiku site to communicate with students and parents. Participants will be prepared to use Haiku for classroom instruction and blended learning in a subject area. This course will be offered on February 2.
Google 201
Teachers will be able to utilize Google Slides for teacher/student presentations of learning. Participants will be able to effectively use Google Forms as an assessment or feedback form. Integrating Google Drive functions with Haiku will also be explored. This course will be offered on February 4.
Genius Bar
Educational Technology, Informational Services, and Assessment are available from 2:30-4 to answer your questions and help with technology integration, blended learning, and personalization. Genius Bar is on February 5.
iMovie 101
At the conclusion of this course participants will be able to comprehend the applicable uses of iMovie in the classroom as well as understand general use and techniques for integrating iMovie for instruction and student use. This course will be offered on February 8.
