THE WEEKS AHEAD

Big picture

Congratulations PreK & 8th Grade!

Both PreK and 8th Grade ended up with 80% participation in our Ice Cream Social Box Tops challenge. They will have their tasty treat together on Tuesday, November 20.

Don't stop clipping--we'll announce the next challenge soon. Ask your friends and relatives to save Box Tops for you, too!

School Spirit Day

As we celebrate the last day of school before Thanksgiving break, let's all show our Roughrider spirit and wear our green tie-dyes. This is a FREE dress down day (no skinny jeans, leggings, holes in pants).

Report Card Day

Our first trimester report cards will come home with the students on Tuesday, November 20. Please sign the envelope and return it to school immediately following Thanksgiving break.

Christmas Greenery Sales

This year's fundraiser run by the 8th Grade is Christmas Wreaths. Order forms came home in this week's Thursday envelope. We don't have a very big sales window, but it's not a bad one when you can take your form with you to Thanksgiving and ask the family to support you! Orders are due with payment on November 27, and will be delivered to the school on December 7 to go home with your children. The class that sells the most will win a pizza/movie party!

Thanks for All You Do!

Mrs. Melissa Dabrowski was recently honored as St. Ann School's Special Volunteer at the 2018 Lansing Evening of Thanks. She has been a parent at St. Ann School for 9 years now, and there aren't many areas that she has not touched in some way in her time here. She has assisted with cheerleading, poms, and volleyball. She began a Brownie troop with another parent and acted as co-leader for the group through Junior Girl Scouts. As a board member of the Home & School Association, she has coordinated the room parents and served for several years as the Treasurer. Every Monday morning, she assists with the TRIP program, processing the gift card orders that help many of our parents pay for their tuition. Around the school, she coordinates our Read to Succeed program, has volunteered in our lunch room, served as Head Room Parent many times, headed up 8th Grade parent activities, decorated for dances, chaperoned field trips, assisted with the annual Round Ball Classic Food Drive, marched in the Good Neighbor Day Parade, and taken countless photos of endless events to share with the yearbook coordinator. Most recently, she spearheaded an effort to make sure every single student and faculty member received a St. Ann Roughriders t-shirt so that we can celebrate our school spirit together. Thank you for everything, Mrs. Dabrowski!
