MoB (Matters of Business)
Edgewood's Weekly Staff Update for the week of 10/29/18
We are committed to the journey of developing EACH child to be an inspired learner and a caring, contributing citizen.
Learning Notes
I have a super-spy task for our teachers in the month of November. This task has three purposes :
1) Fun
2) We know that gratitude is important to our well-being, and November is a month in which we remember to be thankful.
2) Our collective efficacy is increased when we know and maximize one another's strengths.
On Monday, you'll find someone's name in your mailbox. Between Oct. 29th and Nov. 21st, your job is to identify 3 specific, awesome things that that person does that showcases our mission (see above).
One of the great things about being a principal is that I get to see this every day in each of your classrooms. I hope, through this "project", to share the wealth.
On November 21st, we'll "reveal" our person, and share what we discovered.
TCB (Taking Care of Business)
- Storybook Character Day: If students need help finding a book, we'll find books in our classroom libraries/our library. If you need support making this happen, let me know.
- Charity reminded us about the Units in Eduplanet. Log in here: https://my.eduplanet21.com/eduplanet21/ Your log-in is your email. If you don't remember your password, reset it. On your homepage, you scroll down and see "Learning Paths". You should have 6, titled "UbD: 1...6". If you do not see them, you can click on the search button. Let's aim to have Modules 1 and 2 done by Nov. 21. If you need help, ask me.
- Staff Meeting: Article Club: We'll have a few articles/blogs to read/discuss. Come across something interesting you think the group would enjoy? Something that pertains to peoples SLOs or PPGs? Send it my way.
- Meg will be out on Friday 11/2 and Monday 11/5 for the NY Marathon. Jackie/Jennifer/Jenna will be on radio duty.
