Discovery
Discovered by Axel Fredrik Cronstedt when expected to extract copper from his mineral and receiving none he then obtained a metal then called Nickel. Canada and Switzerland have used coins almost pure of Nickel.
Uses
It's not only used for coins but in tubing made of copper-nickel alloy to make desalination plants to convert sea water to fresh water! Also used in Nickel-cadmium batteries and burglar proof vaults.
