"Love First, Last, & Always"
Throughout May, we not only honour our mothers, but take some extra special time to honor our Holy Mother, Mary. She said YES to God when she was faced with a challenging situation, and because of her willingness to trust in God's plan, she became the most Blessed Mother of Jesus Christ. What an example!
The month of May is dedicated to Our Blessed Mother, Mary, and in our classes, we will learn more about Mary and will take time to pray the rosary. If you are interested in learning more about how to pray the rosary, this How to Pray the Rosary infographic is spectacular as well as the free app Laudate. Please consider praying the Hail Mary with your family throughout the month of May.
We would like to take a minute to honour all of the mothers in our JV community. Moms, you are kind. You are patient. You are selfless. You are imperfectly perfect. Thank you for everything you do to support your family, especially during this challenging time. Being a mom is constantly challenging, yet profoundly rewarding. It is a calling from God and He has a plan for you and your kiddos. May God bless you and your families this Mother's Day weekend!
Mother Mary, I offer you all that I am, all that I have, all that I hope to be. Place me within your Immaculate heart and teach me how to honour and glorify God in all I do. Thank you, sweet Mother, for your example, love, and protection. Amen.

Renaming of Jean Vanier School
Thought Exchange received 135 participants with 109 thoughts coming forward and 2626 stars rating the names. Top three names: St. Nicholas, The Good Shepherd, Holy Trinity. After reviewing the results of the consultation, the EICS Board of Trustees unanimously supported the name of St. Nicholas Catholic School, who is the schools patron saint. The Archdiocese of Edmonton supports this change. St. Nicholas Catholic school will officially open for the 2020-2021 school year!
