Anorexia Nervosa

What is Anorexia?
Being anorexic can be very dangerous and is very suffering for the people who have been diagnosed. Anorexia Nervosa is a life threatening eating disorder by self-starvation and excessive weight loss.
Symptoms
Some symptoms of anorexia would be:
- Intense fear to gain weight.
- inadequate food intake.
- Weight that is clearly to low.
- Skeleton is seen through the skin.
Being anorexic is VERY dangerous!
10 to 15 percent of the world has an eating disorder and 12 to 26 (about 95%) who have an eating disorder are anorexic. Anorexia is one of the most leading causes of death compared to other disorders and usually happens between ages 15-24.
Treatment Options
If you have Anorexia Nervosa then medical attention is needed as fast as possible! Once medical attention has been reached the doctor will begin to treat stuff affected by the disorder such as osteoporosis, heart, and/or depression. Afterwords the doctor begins on health and weight; therapy will begin shortly after.
Recovery
Recovery includes:
- Listen to your body.
- Listen to your feelings.
- Trust yourself.
- Accept yourself.
- Love yourself.
- Enjoy life again.
Most of these are very hard to overcome but it will result in a full life.
