Camp in for Camp out for Cancer

Today our school collected a total of $717.76 to donate to Camp out for Cancer. This is a huge donation and done in part by our generous student population. Thank you to all who donated. We also have two winners of tents, Jacob from 1H and Kalvin from 3U. Congratulations! Thank you to the student council and Ms. Kappele for organizing this great fundraiser.

Principal's Desk

First of all, THANK YOU!!!!--Our teachers and staff have felt so appreciated this week. Thank you to the PTO committee headed by Kim Alongi for organizing a week full of delicious lunches, breakfasts, and great daily surprises. The Lincoln staff loves serving our community, working with your children brightens these very rainy days lately, but the weeklong special treatment was greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Another part of teacher recognition took place Thursday we celebrated our staff members who have been part of St. Charles school District 303 for 20 years, congratulations to Ms. Kappele, Mr. Underhill, and Ms. Hill. Dr. Pearson and Ms. Gieir presented the 3 staff members with a symbolic engraved school bell.

This week was the week we administered our spring iReady diagnostic assessment. Students put in their best efforts to complete the assessments. We saw the fruits of our labor, the hard work put forth by all students and staff all year paid off. Many students have attained their growth target, some even surpassed and have reached their stretch growth target. I could not be more proud of everything our students have learned. This does not mean that school is done, we have two more weeks full of learning, sharing their learning, and fun activities planned to celebrate the successes.

Also, I have included below information for the Panorama survey, which is a social-emotional screener student in grades 3-5 take. The letter above explains more information about it, and we are sharing the results with families with a mailing next week.

Finally, we have many fun activities coming up over the next two weeks, we are still expecting Lincoln's best behaviors, all students will be responsible, respectful, and safe.

This week, although we were taking iReady we are encouraging students to still continue to work on their personalized pathways. We will share our summer incentive program in the next few weeks, continuing to work on iReady over the summer is an easy way to maintain and grow skills. Below are students that are recognized this week for their hard work, thank you for continuing to spend the time using this educational program.

Request from businesses across 6th

Please do not park in the parking lot across 6th Avenue, the businesses have limited spots and need to have those spots for their clients. I know parking is tight, but we need to be respectful during the school day, especially during dismissal time. Thank you.

Kane County Cougars Tickets are in!!

Cougars tickets for students who participated in the reading program will be coming home this week. Envelopes will include tickets, parking passes (if ordered), a voucher for a drawstring bag, a "golden ticket" that can be used at games throughout the summer, and game day information. The Cougars organization sold out of preferred parking passes, so families who paid for that were given a general pass and $4 of Ozzie Dollars to account for the difference in price.

Lincoln leopards and their families who did not participate in the program but would still like to attend the game on May 13th can purchase tickets directly through the Cougars website or box office. Lincoln families will be seated in section 117.

Students will be honored in an on-field parade prior to the baseball game. Plan to arrive at least 45 minutes before the game time if your student would like to participate. Though not required, we encourage students to wear Lincoln gear to represent our school.
