The Diary of Anne Frank
Play written by Francis Goodrich and Albert Hackett
The Story
The Diary of Anne Frank is set in the 1940s during WWII in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This was a time when most of Europe was under Nazi control led by dictator Adolf Hitler. Anne Frank and her family were Jews, which Hitler despised, and they, along with many other Jews, were stripped of their freedom. Many families went into hiding to avoid being captured and taken to concentration camps. Anne Frank wrote about her experiences in her diary which later turned into a novel read across the world.
