Smokey Sky Days

Dearest Grant Community,

Thank you for your patience last Friday as we worked to get the word out about the Smoke Day. The health and safety of our students is our highest priority. Thank you also to all of our Grant staff who arrived as normal on Friday morning to make sure that any students who ended up on campus were safe until they could be picked up and to handle arrangements for conferences and meetings.

Thank you to the families of Grant students for your flexibility and understanding during this challenging time. I feel very fortunate to be the leader of a school with families as responsive and compassionate as you are. Moving forward, the district will work closely with the rest of the county and decisions will be made as early as possible. The Petaluma City School District sends messages and calls families, but you will also hear from me via email and the Grant Facebook page will have current information:

PTA Board & Association Meeting, Thursday 11/15 in the Grant Library

This is a great opportunity to find out what's going on at Grant. Hear from Principal Grey, Grant teachers, and involved parents. We'll talk about upcoming events, what's happening on campus and much more. We hope to see you at the meeting!

Grant Book Fair, 11/26-30

Just in time for the holidays... it's the Grant Book Fair! Come do some holiday shopping and give the gift of reading. Mrs. Crysdale will have a detailed schedule for book fair hours out soon!

Second Conference Week-Early Dismissal

Now through November 16th, Parent-Teacher Conferences will be underway. Early Dismissal as follows: Grades 1-6 at 12:45pm and Kindergarten at 11:40am

North Bay Animal Services Donation Drive

Mrs. Cratty’s second graders are having a donation drive for North Bay Animal Services. It starts next Tuesday. It will be from November 13th through the 16th. The animal shelter needs wet and dry dog and cat food such as Friskies. They also need paper towels, blankets, and cat litter. They have a Facebook page with a link to Amazon, so you can choose exactly what they need. Each classroom will have a container to place donations. Money or gift cards will be placed in an envelope. Make a difference and donate.

Make some homemade holiday gifts for friends, family or yourself! Join us at this sign up party to benefit Grant. You'll visit 3 crafting stations while enjoying snacks, treats, bubbly and holiday cheer! Cost $65 and space is limited. See the Sign-up Party binder in the office.
