This 2021-2022 school year, Evanston Academy will be assisting in improving your students’ attendance with incentives. We acknowledge the stress that comes with a new school year and we want to help motivate you. Starting September, each homeroom’s attendance will be counted at the end of each month to see which homeroom had the best attendance. The winning homeroom of each grade will receive a celebration that will soon be determined. Please do your absolute best in getting your student to school every day and on time. We understand challenges do arise and want to remind all families to call the office if your student will not be attending school for that day. We look forward to seeing your students and to a great school year.

Everyone who enters the building MUST wear a mask. Students, staff and visitors may not enter the building without one. Please ensure your child has a properly fitting mask daily. You can read more about our District Covid-19 Safety Plan.

Our Family Newsletter, The Headliner, will go home on the first of each month while school is in session. Starting in November, the newsletter will only be available electronically- through email or the school website under "Resources". Make sure we have your email address on file. If you need assistance with setting up an email account, please come in and ask for Mr. Mayola or Mr. Williams.

We are happy to offer several enrichment programs for our students for the Late Summer/Early Fall session. There are limited spaces for each program. Please get completely signed permission slips in AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Spots will fill up fast and it is first come first served.

Boys' Flag Football- Boys in grades 4-6 can sign up to join the team. They will learn instructional skills and game play. Season consists of 1-2 practices a week and games over 8 weeks. The season will begin the week of September 5th.

Girls on the Run- Girls grades 3-4 have the opportunity to join a running and emotional learning program. Session runs September 13-November 20th. The program will end with a 5K. Forms and payment are due by September 9th.

Girl Scouts of Greater Cincinnati- There will be 2 groups that girls can join, grades K-2 and 3-5. Meetings will be Thursdays after school. Permission slips will be sent out soon!

Suzuki Collaborative of CPS- Suzuki string's program visited our school Monday and played for several classes. This organization is offering to teach interested students a string or wind instrument. A parent/guardian is required to practice with students each night. If interested, please fill out parent interest form or have your student return the red/yellow card.
