Make a difference in your community
Our new 5K Run/Walk raises money to help buy supplies for the community service projects to support area non-profit organizations. Any funds raised beyond those needs will directly support the youth and 4-H program of Franklin County.
The SERVE portion of our event promotes community service and is free! There is no requirement to participate in the 5K. Area 4-H clubs adopt a local non-profit organization. Club members educate the public about the needs of their organization and how they are filling that need by completing the project. The members demonstrate how to make the item and coach event participants to complete each item.
Click here for more information including how to register for the Clover 5K or to get your club involved with the Serve event.

Horse Stall Donations Still Needed
Please consider helping the Franklin County 4-H Horse Advisory Committee raise funds for new horse stalls at the fairgrounds. A good start was made to replacing all of the stalls in barn 24 last year but there are plenty more to do! A lot of comments were made about how beautiful the stalls and the sponsor plaques are and we appreciate that! Gold, Silver, Bronze and Friends of 4-H levels of sponsorship are available. If you or anyone you know is interested in sponsoring a stall, please contact Lori Raugh at 614-581-6497 or at Lraugh@gmail.com. She would be happy to discuss the additional benefits, cover more details and answer any questions you may have.
Livestock Requirements
Poultry Project News
Poultry Resource Book: Unfortunately, the Ohio 4-H Poultry Resource Book will again not be published this year. The good news is that there is an alternative for poultry project members. Franklin County 4-H has decided to utilize Storey's Guide to Raising Poultry as the resource book. Information from this book will be what judges base their questions on during project evaluations. Storey's Guide is widely available. The book is available for purchase at the Extension Office for $15.50, can be checked out at many local libraries, or can be purchased from several online book sellers.
Bi-State Youth Poultry Clinic: This clinic will be held in Wooster at OARDC, Fisher Auditorium, Saturday, April 2. Registrations are to be postmarked by Monday, March 21. More information is posted on the Poultry Events and Resources pages at www.ohio4h.org/statewide-programs/animal-sciences/poultry/.
