Principal's Message
Gateway had an exciting week with our students excelling in everything from academics to athletics to community service! This past week Gateway celebrated Read Across America! Students visited our elementary schools to read and teach students. We also hosted our 1st Annual Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives Contest. Our young chefs did an amazing job and presented their food to our professional celebrity judges. In addition, several Gators competed in state athletic competitions. March is Youth Art Month
March is Youth Art Month and in celebration, a variety of pop up art shows are happening across the state to display the fine work of New Jersey students and art educators. Two Gateway students' works were selected to take part in the state show, on display in the State House in Trenton. Drawings by sophomore Leo Geib and freshman Erin McKelvey, join works from students across the state in the show happening this week with a reception on Friday, March 8th.
These two students, as well as several other Gateway students will have work in a county Youth Art Month show taking place at Rowan University from March 18th - 22nd with a reception taking place on Friday, March 22nd, from 6-8 pm. For more information please contact Mr. Weber at aweber@gatewayhs.com

Thank you to our sponsors Rastelli Foods Group and Gateway Regional Education Association and all who helped!
Papa Kyle’s Team won the contest with their juicy burger made with waffle buns, avocado, and egg!
Red Wing Boot Mobile
This week, Gateway had a visit from the Red Wing Boot Mobile courtesy of the Carpenters Union Local 255. The Carpenters Union donated the work boots to students in the Construction and Utilities Course as part of the Youth Transition to Work (YTTW) Program. These students recently completed OSHA 10 Certification training and will be able to join the Carpenters Union after graduation.
Women's Empowerment Week
Each day, we will have approximately 25 Gateway girls hear from women leaders and speakers in a conference setting.

Attention Alumni!
Comfort Closet
Gateway has opened a Comfort Closet to our school community. The Comfort Closet is a small room in the building that is stocked full of personal hygiene products, cleaning supplies, clothes and shoes to be given to anyone in the Gateway community that needs them. All of these items have been generously donated by the Gateway family and are offered at no charge to the recipient. The Closet is open every Friday during lunches so if students have a need they can stop by and pick up products to meet that need. Several groups have volunteered to make this happen, including the Student Council and Mrs.Gale's class. The Closet is representative of how much caring and concern for others that helps make Gateway a great place to work and learn!
