Husky Happenings
August 12-16
August 13 - First ½ day of school - Dismissal at 11:15 No lunch served
From Mr. Martin
It is so great to be part of a new year at TRMS. I am excited to continue high academic and character standards. All of our students and staff are held to that standard, and we will achieve this goal. Please reach out if you have any concerns. Remember, ‘if you don’t say it, I can’t address it’. Don’t let concerns build without an opportunity for resolution. We do want this school year to be great for all TRMS Huskies.
To my 5th grade: Welcome to TRMS. You are going to be great Huskies! To our parents and your kids, you will be fine. We have excellent staff, students, and parents. Your kids are in good hands. I will remind you that you are welcome to come eat lunch from 12:05-12:45. We have two staggered lunches so get the exact time from your student.
To my 6th grade. Welcome back! This is your 2nd year as Huskies and 6th grade ‘always’ wins the spirit bone!
To my 7th grade. Be sure you do something when you come to school. Get involved. You need to be able to complete the statement, “I come to school because …..”
To my 8th grade. You are my role models. I expect you to assist 5th and 6th grade students with lockers, schedules, and being a good Husky. A role model means younger eyes are watching your every action. Make sure your actions are worthy of a Husky.
To all my parents: I will call every Sunday at 3pm, and an email newsletter will be sent out every Friday. Don’t forget to access our web page and find links for remind 101, athletics, morning announcements daily at @ 8:10, etc.. all on our webpage.
We have a great school! We will have a great year.
John Martin

From Nurse Rhea:
Parents of 7th Grade Students: Please remember to send documentation of your student’s Tdap and Meningococcal immunizations to our office. These immunizations are mandatory for all 7th grade students to attend school in the state of Kansas.
Remember - If your student will be taking/keeping medications in the health room, a NEW physician’s order is required. Last year’s orders will NOT work. This includes diabetic orders, seizure action plans, and asthma/allergy action plans.
Students will only be allowed to self carry their inhalers or epi pens if there is a current order on file that specifically grants this permission. Otherwise, the medication will be kept in the health room.
Please feel free to call the office if you have any questions or concerns
