Hello Northpoint families:
Yesterday was Lunar New Year which marks the beginning of the new year in the lunar calendar. It falls when the new moon appears at the beginning of the year and marks the beginning of spring and the end of winter. It is a special holiday for many, and timely as we look forward to celebrating spring and warmer weather to come!
This week at Northpoint, we are continuing to see to declines in COVID positive cases and related absences. This is good news! Our multiage 1-2 teams are focusing on reading and writing about the cycle of the seasons while grade 4 is learning about the regions of the United States. The Northpoint’s Got Talent finale will also be happening this Thursday afternoon. Everyone is excited to see who will be crowned this year’s winner.
At the halfway point in the school year, we are also already thinking about and planning for next year. In case you missed it, see a roundup of planned enrollment, grade-level transition and registration events that are continuing this month. If you’re interested but not able to participate in a scheduled event, we have staff always happy to answer questions and make connections. Feel free to share these with friends and neighbors.
Hope your February is off to a good start!
