October 5 Parent/Teacher Conferences
Grades 6-12 will have parent teacher conferences on October 5 from 2:15 - 4:00 and 4:30 - 7:45. We will also have conferences on November 30. By having conferences on these two dates, there is an opportunity for parents and teachers to conference about half-way through both the first and second quarters.
This will be a very busy night at the secondary building as there are also home middle school and high school volleyball matches that evening. If you want to avoid the crowds, you may want to try to get in for conferences earlier in the day. On the plus side, you can catch a game and grab a bag of popcorn on your way to conferences.
On the 5th, all middle-school teachers will be located on the third floor of the "old building". High school teachers will be in their rooms on the first floor of the "old building" and set up at tables in the middle school gym. Hopefully, this set up will allow parents to be efficient with their time.
We hope to see all parents on the 5th.
JMC Information for Parents
Parents can access academic information about their child through the JMC student information program. Mr. David Pierson created this short video to show how you can access academic information and set alerts for your child if their grades drop below a certain percentage. No Guns At School
"No Guns At School" seems like common sense. However, we are heading into the heart of hunting season and there are plenty of students who enjoy the sport of hunting. This is a good time to remind students and parents that guns are not allowed at school or on school grounds. The parking lot is considered part of school grounds and it is against the law to have shotguns in your vehicle on school grounds. If someone has been hunting, be sure that the gun is left at home and not inadvertently brought to the school parking lot. Guns found on school grounds are considered a felony and may lead to expulsion from school.
WiFi Access at the School
If you have been to the school building this year, you may have noticed that there is now a "Guest" wifi network available to visitors. The password for the network is posted in several locations in the concourse. We hope that all visitors enjoy this complimentary wifi access.
