Scheduling for the 23-24 School Year
Here is the timeline for scheduling:
Feb. 8th - receive course selection sheets
Feb. 17th - course selection sheets are due to the English teachers
Feb. 21-24th - counselors will call students down to the library to enter their course selections
Here are things to consider when picking out courses for next year:
Are you on track for graduation?
Are you thinking about attending A-Tech?
If you have submitted an application to A-Tech, you must still submit a course selection sheet.
Are you thinking about doing College Credit Plus?
We have a virtual information meeting this Thursday, Feb. 9th at 6 pm (more info below).
You still must submit a course selection sheet
Rising seniors must have at least 5 credits; you can have early release (7th & 8th or just 8th) or late arrival (1st and 2nd or just 1st).
Rising juniors must have at least 6 credits; you can have early release (8th only) or late arrival (1st only).
Rising sophomores must have at least 6 credits and there is no early release or late arrival option.
***All students are to have a graduation plan on file with their school counselor. We will not hand this out at the schedule assembly. It will be done with the counselors later in February. The form is available to download directly below for your information.
Counselors are available to discuss your questions or selections. Please sign up through the google form.
ACT for Juniors
On Tuesday, February 14th we will have a pre-registration ACT session for students to fill out required information for the ACT.
Please make sure to bring your chromebook fully charged to both events.
If you have any questions, please see your counselor or Mrs. Riedel
What's New?
We will use Scoir to submit transcripts and recommendations when students apply in their senior year.
All seniors and juniors have received an email with a link to set up their Scoir account. If they have not received it, or have not set up their account yet, please have them contact their school counselor.

Current 10th grade students : Are you interested in attending A-Tech?
The top three things A-Tech looks at for acceptance into programs are:
Grades: can not be more than one credit deficient in English, math, science, or social studies at the start of the school year. May need to attend summer school to keep your acceptance.
Attendance: Must have good attendance because programs have attendance connected to certifications. Medical absences are not counted.
Behavior: Must have good behavior.
On Feb. 16th, A-Tech will have their Pasta Dinner from 3:30 - 8:30 pm and all lab programs will be open for visitors. If you are a current 9th or 10th grade student, this is a great opportunity to see what A-Tech has to offer.
