Easy Ways to Replace Paper with Technology
I've been asked recently how to make subjects and lesson more interesting and engaging for students. I definitely believe there is a place for paper and pencil, but I also know we all have a lesson or two that we can spice up with some technology. So here are a few ideas.
iPad and Chromebook Apps for K-4 math.
The Math Learning Center has several math apps. Several are available for the Chromebook as well- Number Line, Number Rack, Number Frames
Build Vocabulary in All Subjects
- Word Clouds for Predictions (examine new words in an article)
- Math Vocabulary Cards (flashcards with models)
- Vocabulary with World’s Worst Pet (new words through storytelling)
- Vocabulary Notebook (study tool)
- Interactive Science Glossary for iPads (domain specific words)
- gFlash+ to Build Study Skills (customizable flashcards)
- Membean for Vocabulary (web-based tool)
