Principal's Corner

A legacy of learning is something we all want for our community and students. At Lietz we are honored to have many teachers who have dedicated years of service to the learning of the students and community. This week Mrs. Long and Ms. Caddell were honored for 25 years of service in the Union School district. Mrs. Douglas was honored for 35 years of service which is an amazing legacy of service and community. It was exciting to see how many students, parents, and even staff members who have been able to have Mrs. Douglas as a teacher here at Lietz. It is an honor to work with such a dedicated community of teachers.

Parent Night: Be Seen And Heard

Please join us in a virtual parent night hosted by Deanna Hynes from Be Seen and Heard on Tuesday, March 22 from 6:00-7:00pm!

After continued positive feedback from our students, parents, and staff, Union Elementary School District will be hosting our fifth year of Be Seen and Heard© assemblies for K-8 students at all school sites beginning Thursday, March 24, 2022. Assemblies are presented in the interest of student safety and will address the dangers of child sexual abuse, the differences between a safe and unsafe touch and a safe and unsafe secret, the importance of voice, and identifying trusted adults. Please note that for this year, the assemblies will be virtual and streamed into classrooms via the classroom teacher.
