Message from the Principal

Dear Carlton Families,

I hope the rainy weather has not impacted your family too much. I try to remember to be grateful for all the much-needed water we now have in California. At Carlton, we had a storm drain that was clogged which created quite a pool of water in our lunch area. But our Maintenance and Operations department sent us a team right away to resolve the problem.

This Friday is St. Patrick's Day. So, we encourage everyone to put on something green and join us at the Lucky to Be at Carlton Family Picnic on March 17th from 4:00 to 6:00. There will be activities and treats for all. We will also have a special ceremony at 4:30 to celebrate becoming a 2023 California Distinguished School.

We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Mary Katayama

Principal

The's month's lesson will focus on using a growth mindset to explore, discover, and pursue students' sparks (interests, dreams, passions). Students will identify people who can support them. They will also discuss how to be a spark champion for others and use teamwork. Students will learn how to set short-term goals and work towards their goals with persistence, perseverance, and determination. Here is the link to the slides and story.
