Please join us for the Second Semester Open House -Thursday February 6th
Cranston High School East welcomes you to its Second Semester Open House. This evening provides you with an opportunity to meet our administrative team and faculty. You will be able to follow your son’s/daughter’s regular school day schedule. It is our hope that this experience will give you a better understanding of what is expected of your child from their teachers. Valentine's Day Carnation Sale
It’s that time again!!!!
Make your special friends feel very special on Valentine’s Day by receiving a Valentine's carnation with a message attached. Valentine carnations will be delivered to that special person’s advisory on Valentine’s Day! Valentine carnations are only $1!
Please help the Class of 2022 with their Valentine’s Day Carnation Sale!!!
To order a Valentine's carnation you need to know that special person’s name and advisory room number.
We also provide another option; if you would like to hand-deliver the Valentine carnation to that special person yourself, you can pick up your order in room 405 on Valentine’s Day morning.
Valentine carnations may be ordered in room 405 before or after school from February 3-13 and at all lunches in the main cafeteria starting on February 5.
Please order early. In the past, we have had snow days during our sale that reduced the opportunity to make those special people feel special. So, order your carnations early and often. This is the Class of 2022’s main FUNdraiser, so let’s make our 2020 Valentine’s Day Carnation Sale the best ever! It has always been the goal of this event to make everyone at Cranston HS East feel special on Valentine’s Day. Let’s make it happen! Go Bolts!!
A representative from Jostens will be here on February 6th to address the senior class regarding the purchase of caps and gowns. The following Thursday, February 13th, a representative will return to accept payments for your purchases. Payments can be made in the senior café during all lunches on February 13, 2020. Please make every effort to attend the assembly in order to make the ordering of
your graduation materials accurate.
Class Spotlight: English 11 AP
Ms. Aspeel’s and Ms. Branca’s English 11 AP students read stories from female authors of the 19th Century to study women’s roles at the time. They examined how the protagonists’ mental states were reflected in their physical surroundings. They then created their own visuals to represent different emotional states and presented these to their classmates.

ARTS, Inc. will be meeting on Wednesdays after school in room 223 beginning this week.

Cranston East Bowling League
This year at Cranston East we have our first-ever Bowling League!! Through the leadership efforts of senior students, Elyjahdae Lamy and Troy Santopadre, a club bowling league at Cranston East started in January 2020. There are currently 61 participants, including three faculty member teams. Bowling takes place at Lang’s Bowlarama on Wednesday afternoons for a six week period through February. Sixteen teams are competing against each other each week for the title of “Champions”. This is an excellent activity that keeps the students active and focused, while also promoting community relationships. Students are fundraising for the cost of the bowling and shoe fees, and would like to thank everyone who has donated their time and money to help with the start of the league, especially Officer Davis!
