Message from the Principal

What a great first trimester of school. It has been so great to have our students in person every day this school year. We appreciate your efforts to keep kids home when they are sick and for communicating with us. I would encourage you to consider the covid vaccine for your children and to talk with your family doctor if you have any questions or concerns. The vaccine is not required by the school district, however, and we will not be administering it at school.

It has been rewarding to watch our students learn and show their growth so far. We always start with our school-wide expectations known as the Cheetah Charge. You've probably heard or seen our belief statement: "We believe Success is Practicing respect, Opting for compassion and Taking responsibility." We call that showing our SPOTs. Our students have learned and strive to "show their spots" every day. Students have also been working very hard to grow in their core academic skills in reading, writing and math as well as in science and social studies. We have seen lots of growth and are excited for our winter benchmark testing so we can analyze that growth in detail and plan for the next trimester.

We want to thank all of you for your participation and support with parent teacher conferences and our Cheetah Run. It is wonderful to be able to interact with you in person. Thank you also to our many parent volunteers who come and support our teachers and students.
