Return to Learn
Weekly Newsletter 8/28/2020
Dear Judson ISD Parents and Guardians:
Welcome to the new school year! Even though we wish that students and staff can be together, we are still so excited about this year of learning and new adventures. I am so proud of the way everyone has worked to adjust during the first couple of days of virtual classes, not to mention our JECA teachers and students starting first and leading the way. For me, this has been very bittersweet because I enjoy spending time with students and visiting with them. This past week as I visited campuses, the hallways were very quiet and the only students that were in attendance belonged to our own teachers. As you can see in the picture below, I was able to visit at a distance but could see their excitement and joy of being back at school. Though things are not perfect, we are off to a good start! I know some of you experienced technical issues and some are still waiting for assistance. Remember that our tech team is here to support you if you need it.
Our virtual learning program is sustainable, prioritizes student and staff safety, and mirrors the regular school day as much as possible. Of course, there will be challenges, but we will work together to address them, and students will continue to learn and grow. I thank all of our Judson ISD families for their patience and support. We are working to make this the very best possible learning experience for our students. I would like to express my appreciation for the staff for all their hard work to make this a success. Notably, our principals and campus leadership teams who have coordinated this transformation of the way we normally operate.
I ask that you continue to ask questions, seek guidance, and help us support your child in this new J-Learning at home experience. Let’s continue to get the school year off to a great start. Thank you to the students, staff, and parents/guardians for your flexibility and partnership as we take this journey together! Take care, stay healthy and God bless you!

Meal Routes and Schedules
Judson ISD buses are delivering breakfast and lunch for students. Keep in mind that both the deliveries and curbside services are on Mondays and Thursdays. Each of those days multiple meals are distributed so each student has enough food for all five days of the school week. Please make sure to have your child's student ID or student ID number to pick up the meals.
If you live 2 miles or more away from your campus, there may be a JISD bus route near you to assist with the following:
- Breakfast and Lunch Delivery
- Safe Haven Instruction Option
- Face-to-Face Instruction Option
Use the JISD Transportation Route Finder (infoFinder) website to check your street address and campus. The website will also include the time and location of meal deliveries.
Please check the schedule for both services below.
