New Procedures for Late Arrival and Early Dismissals
Due to our new policies and procedures all doors to the school will remain locked.
Teachers will be at the designated student doors from 8:00 a.m. to 8:10 a.m. All designated student doors will be locked at 8:10 a.m.
The Main Entrance door will be locked at 8:15 a.m.
If your child(ren) will be arriving late, do not go to your designated door as staff will not be available to let them in once they've gone into their classrooms with the other students. Please drop your child(ren) off at the main entrance doors. You can either call the office for entry or ring the doorbell that is located on the wall to the left of the main doors.
If for any reason you need to pick up your child from school during regular school hours, you must remain in your vehicle, call the school office to let us know you've arrived to pick up your child(ren). You will no longer be required to sign your child (ren) in or out as was the previous practice.
As a friendly reminder, to limit potential exposure to COVID-19 and traceability only students and staff are permitted in our school until further notice.

Your child's safety is of paramount importance to use - If your child is absence for any reason, please use the safe arrival website, Safe Arrival Mobile APP, call 1-877-246-9970, or leave a message on our voicemail.
Attendance Reporting Procedures - School Messenger
Please refrain from emailing or messaging your child's teacher if your child(ren) will be away or late. Teacher's do not have access to all possible attendance codes, may not have time to check their emails and/or may be away themselves, therefore the office does not receive your message.
Terry Fox Run
40th Anniversary of Terry Fox's Marathon of Hope. Due to COVID protocols, we are not accepting cash donations at the school. Please help show your support by donating to: http://www.terryfox.ca/HolyRedeemerCatholic
Our school wide run will take place on Monday, September 28th, 2020 in each individual class, Your child can wear a Terry Fox shirt if they have one or wear the colour blue that day. Each class will also have activities and lessons pertaining to and hounouring our special hero.

All parents are welcome!
The annual general meeting for the School-Parent Council will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd at 6:30 p.m. All meetings will be held virtually this year!
Our new Principal Mr. Kucy as well as our Grade 6 Teacher Miss. Kennaugh will be sharing their reports with us!

Annual Consent Forms and Student Demographic Data
Please fill out the annual consent forms and Demographic update if you have not already done so. Annual consent forms include Annual Field Trip, One to One Technology, Technology Use Agreement as well as Locker Use Agreement. Without consent, your child(ren) will not be able to participate in activities or use technology.
To complete these forms, log into your Parent Portal account in PowerSchool. If these forms require attention you will see red highlighted boxes at the top of your page. Follow these steps to complete your forms:
Transportation Information
Please note that parents of students using EICS transportation need to create and account with
Bus Planner This website will give you information on all bus cancellations and route changes. Please make sure you download the app. You can find Bus Planner with both Apple and Android devices through your store.
All bus passes have been distributed to students who are eligible. If your child does not yet have a pass, please refer to the Bus Planner website if your child is on the list. If you have any questions with regards to any busing concerns you have, please call them directly at 780-449-6480.

Fee Waiver Program 2020-21
Under the principle that finances should be a barrier to a child's education, Elk Catholic Schools will waive fees for independent students or parents/guardians if they meet certain income guidelines, are on social services or are facing exceptional circumstances, If you qualify, you may apply using the attached application for a waiver for the following fees:
