"For whoever is not against us is for us. Anyone who gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to Christ, amen, I say to you, will surely not lose his reward."

What are my “stumbling blocks”? Where do I fall prey to the sins that cause rifts in my relationship with Christ?

Lord, I love You with all my mind, heart, soul, and strength. Please reveal to me the areas of my life where I am not surrendering to You, and guide me on a path of righteousness.

October is the Month of the Rosary

We will be reciting the Luminous Mysteries this week and will offer up Pope Francis’ intention for this month which is to be present to the poor, the marginalized and those who have no voice. Our 6A students and Mr. Abellana are our prayer leaders this week.

Generosity is the Virtue of Month

St. Francis of Assisi Feast Day

To celebrate the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi whose feast day is October 4th, we will once again have the Blessing of the Pets at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 4th in the upper school yard. The event is open to our parish community. Parents may bring their pets to school for the blessing on a leash or in an animal crate. Those folks that have caged pets that are reptiles, fish or birds may bring those pets at the beginning of the day to spend time with their human and his or her classmates in their homeroom. Students may bring a picture of a drawing of their pets or favorite animals to the afternoon prayer service, too. All our welcome even if you can't bring your pet or you don't even have one. It is always a festive day in honor of St. Francis.

Looking for Fun Run Sponsors

Dear Owner / Manager:

Our Lady of Mercy School will be holding our 2nd annual Healthy Kids Fun Run Fundraiser and we are hoping that you will help provide support for our school. This Fun Run Event promotes fitness and healthy habits, as well as being a major fundraiser in providing needed school supplies and updated technology to our students. We are working hard to make this year’s event a HUGE success!

On November 16th, 2018, the students at our school will be running 40 laps and asking friends, family and local businesses, for pledges of sponsorship and donations. Everyone, including our faculty, families, staff, and students are all working hard to make this a huge success.

This is a FANTASTIC opportunity for your business! We want to help promote your business and increase your customer traffic, while providing excellent and effective advertisement.

We are offering 2 separate corporate sponsorship packages:

Package 1: $250

Your business name will be posted on our Fun Run website, bulletin board and newsletters throughout the remainder of our 2017/2018 school year. E-mails sent to families during the Fun Run Event will also credit you as a corporate sponsor.

Package 2: $500

Includes Package 1, and also have your business name / logo printed on T-Shirts to be worn by students, teachers, and staff during the Fun Run Event. Note: You will need to provide us with camera ready art for the shirt. Please e-mail a vector pdf of your logo. Deadline for logos for shirts is October 22nd.

Please contact us immediately if you're interested, as we have a very limited amount of space for sponsors. Make checks payable to Our Lady of Mercy School and mail to the school address below.
