Description: This workshop will contain two modules: An Introduction to Restorative Justice and Classroom Restorative Practices in Action. The concept of the school to prison pipeline, the historic effects of "no tolerance" policies and the basic theory and structure of restorative justice will be introduced. This session will help school staff think critically about traditional classroom and administrative discipline protocols. School staff will also have the opportunity to practice Tier 1 and Tier 2 restorative practice circles and interventions that turn classroom discipline from just punitive to positive learning and relationship building exercises.
Target Audience: Administrators, Classroom Teachers, and School Counselors

Other: Lunch will be provided for all participants. This training is FREE for staff from North Point ESC’s client districts. The registration cost for staff from non-client districts is $25 per participant payable to NPESC. This session is limited to 65 participants so register early.
