Longridge Community Update
The Best Part of LR is the People!
Opening Message
We have turned the page to October! We concluded September with our Open Houses. It was so wonderful to be able to see families in the building. It has been so long since we have been able to have visitors in the building. See everyone connecting brought so many smiles (yes, it was easy to see, even with masks!).
October provides us with more opportunities to connect. Please take a few minutes to read through our update and mark your calendars with the various events that are coming up in October.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us in the main office at 966-5851.

Reminder!
After School Support for Quarantined Students
We understand that due to quarantine, students will be out for a longer period of time than just a couple of days. As a result, we will be providing after school support from classroom teachers several days a week.
On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, several classroom teachers will be available to meet with students that are quarantined from 3:45-4:45 p.m. A Google Link will be sent to your child that will connect them virtually to a teacher where academic support will be provided.
We are finalizing what this support will look like for students. Please be on the look out for this in a future Community Update.
Dismissal Request
We have noticed an increase in the number of parents/guardians that are picking up their child on a regular basis prior to 3 p.m. As a reminder, the instructional school day ends at 3:30 p.m. for students. If you are picking up your child daily, please plan on doing so in the cafeteria at dismissal. Early pick-ups are a disruption to learning for your child, and the front foyer is not equipped to support a high volume of visitors for pick-ups.
If wait time is a concern, please know that now that process has been followed, our cafeteria is clear of parents/guardians by 3:40 p.m., with buses leaving by 3:45. Parents and guardians having only been waiting a few minutes to pick up their child.
