Dear Laurel Springs School Families,

Every June, our 6th Graders end their journey at Laurel Springs School and continue on to their next destination in 7th Grade elsewhere. I would like to congratulate our 6th Grade students on their promotion and wish them the best of luck in their middle and high school years and beyond. Wherever you may end up, you will always be able to consider Laurel Springs School home.

I would like to thank our teachers and support staff members for their tireless effort, our parents for their unwavering support and encouragement, and our students for their commitment to their academic and personal growth. It is our collective effort that drives our school to be our best.

During the upcoming summer break I encourage everyone to rest, rejuvenate, and reconnect with friends and family. If you should need anything over the summer, please feel free to call the office.

Have a great summer!

Thank you!

Mr. Ryan Mahlman

Principal/Superintendent

Summer Reading:

This year, our "One School, One Book" will be, The Magical Yet! The Magical Yet is the perfect tool for parents and educators to turn a negative into a positive when helping children cope with the inevitable difficult learning moments we all face. Whether a child or an adult, this encouraging and uplifting book reminds us that we all have things we haven't learned...yet!

Access this on our website HERE.

Summer Math:

Your teacher has provided their grade level with a list of online websites to practice math topics that are age and grade level appropriate for your child. You have access to your child's Chromebook for use. Just fill out the Google Form linked HERE and we will send it home with your student prior to or on June 16th.

4. Happy Retirement to Mr. Pressley!

Thankful for over 20 years of service to our district, we would like to congratulate Mr. Kenneth Pressley on his retirement from Stratford and Laurel Springs School Districts. Mr. Pressley has been a driving force in our school’s development over the years and has always had our small town in his heart. Mr. P will be remembered most for his contagious smile, his ability to brighten another’s day with his caring compliments, and his attention to detail. Thanks for your effort, dedication, and commitment to our school, our faculty and staff, and most importantly to our students. Enjoy your retirement. It is very well deserved.
