Report cards will come home tomorrow, so please check your child's backpack and take some time this weekend to read through the report card. Let your child's teacher know if you have any questions or concerns.

Perfect Attendance Incentives
Life School Red Oak would like to encourage our students to be in attendance each day to make sure they can “Ready to Learn, Ready to Lead, Ready for Life.” We will hold a drawing at the end of each month for all students that have perfect attendance for that month. Students must have perfect attendance during the month, no absences, tardies, or early checkouts.There will be a prize for students that are in Kindergarten thru 3rd grade and a prize for students in 4th grade thru 6th grade. The prize winners will be announced during morning announcements and we will contact the parents/guardians to come by the office to pick up the prizes. Please see Pages 3-4 of the Student Handbook for the Attendance guidelines.

CRITICAL THINKING
When you are ready to learn, you make clear, rational decisions that are based on facts and evidence. You use research to make informed statements and you are open-minded to different views than your own. You are able to see the pros and cons of a situation and make an informed decisions. By doing these things, you are using the leader attribute, Critical Thinking.

TCU
This week's featured college is TCU- Texas Christian University. TCU is located in Fort Worth Texas which is about 45 minutes to an hour from Life School. There are over 9,000 students that are enrolled at TCU. The schools colors are purple and white with a horned frog being the mascot. TCU is known for degrees in accounting, aerospace studies, and anthropology along with many others.
Spelling Bee
It is Spelling Bee time again!! Each classroom will be conducting a classroom spelling bee to determine who will advance to the grade level spelling bee. Below are the dates and times on the grade level spelling bee for the students who advanced.
Jan. 17th at 8:30- 4th-6th Grade Campus Spelling Bee
Jan. 22nd at 2pm- 3rd Grade Spelling Bee
Jan. 23rd at 8am- 2nd Grade Spelling Bee
Jan. 23rd at 2pm- 1st Grade Spelling Bee
Jan. 24th at 8am- Kindergarten Spelling Bee
