• In Kansas, a movement known as The Progressive Movement was preformed to form a more equal United States.
• Progressives faced many of the same conflicts as the Populists, another group attempting to make the U.S. an equal place.

Child Labor in Kansas
•By 1900, 10% of children between the ages of 10 and 15 went to work everyday.
• Several Child Labor laws were passed before this age group was prohibited to undergo official work until a certain age.
Dr. Samuel Crumbine
• Dr. Crumbine was a leader and supporter in disease prevention, and public hygiene. He assisted in the promotion of the fly swatter, the ban of the public drinking cup, and and many other accomplishes in the health field.
