Time for Kids Activity Reminder and Homework Info
In this upcoming week, I will not be distributing homework packets. Students will have small homework packets that will be due on Thursday, November 20. We will also be sending a Thanksgiving homework packet home over the break. It will have pages for students to write about what they've done each day with a small amount of other activities.
Friendsgiving is on Friday!
We're having our First Grade Friendsgiving celebration on Friday during our students' lunchtime. Both classes will be eating picnic-style in Mrs. Houston's classroom.
You've received a SignUpGenius inviting you to contribute a dish that represents your culture or is your child's favorite food to share with first grade. There are also opportunities to sign up to volunteer to serve food to our students.
If you are bringing a dish, please bring it to school by 11AM on Friday, November 21.
Please follow the link to our SignUpGenius to help out. Thanks for your support!
Don't forget about the Science Fair!
Our Pilgrim Simulation
Packing our Bags
After discussing what was essential for the Pilgrims' journey across the Atlantic Ocean, students had to pick 8 different things they would pack if they were to board the Mayflower.
We're all set and ready to go! We've been writing in our "pilgrim journals" describing what it would be like to be a part of the journey to America.
Virtual Field Trips
Scholastic partnered with Plimoth Plantation to create virtual field trips to help students see what life would have looked like during the Pilgrim's time period.
