Symptoms of Cholera
Many symptoms of Cholera include large amounts of vomiting and diarrhea, causing the body to dehydrate quickly, muscles to cramp up, and it leaves you with dry skin and a dry mouth. It also lets go of most of your electrolytes.

The Cholera "virus" does not infect humans, it can only be found in other animals such as pigs. The disease humans receive comes from bacteria (Vibrio cholerae).

Treatments & Vaccines
Cholera is easily treatable, but left untreated may cause severe damage and even death. Replenishing fluid levels will cure the disease from the body, and there are oral vaccines including ShanChol and Dukoral that are provided and are both World Heath Organization (WHO) approved.
