Back-To-School Wonder Watch
Fenton Area Public Schools ~ World of Wonder
Welcome to WoW!
Dear WoW Families,
I apologize that this is a belated...Welcome to the 2019-20 school year! I am not exactly sure what happened to September. In a blink of an eye, we are on the brink of October. I was pleased that we decided to hold WoW Welcome Parent Orientation sessions for each program on the respective start days. We had a great turnout for these and hopefully those who attended feel a bit more informed and connected to what we do at WoW. I hope you enjoyed a wonder--full summer filled with joy and wonder. I am happy to welcome you to a new school year.
World of Wonder programs are inspired by the world-renowned early childhood programs of Reggio Emilia, Italy. The principles of the Reggio Emilia approach have become the principles of the World of Wonder programs. The first and foremost principle is the Image of the Child as competent, curious, full of knowledge, potential, and interested in connecting to the world around them. The Role of Parents, as an essential component of the school and an active part of their child’s learning experiences, is also in keeping with WoW’s philosophy. We welcome all families as members of our WoW Family Team. Together, we look forward to creating a fantastic legacy for Fenton’s first students. It is our hope to have you become a part of that effort. Please consider becoming a part of PAW ~ Parents At WoW. PAW, is our parent-teacher organization. It plays an important role in creating vision and direction for our programs. Join our PAW Facebook page: PAW Parents Active in WoW and "Like" World of Wonder.
I look forward to meeting all our families. Stop by my office or, if needed, please make an appointment with our early childhood office manager, Amber Brown (810-591-8349). Calls regarding attendance, late arrival, or early dismissal should also be directed to this number. Please do not hesitate to stop by or call if you need information, have questions.
