Loving this Year Already!
I can already tell- this year is going to be an awesome year for Youens Elementary. We have an amazing staff who are building relationships and routines with our students and with each other, and out students and parents are quickly settling into Youens expectations. PLCs start today, planning time is in full swing, and students are already showing what they know and need to grow in every day in the classrooms. I can't wait to see the growth and accomplishments that will take place this year!
We should all have a healthy appreciation for early childhood assessments...bless you PK and K!

A few announcements:
- Transportation tags will be worn for two weeks! Please make sure phone numbers and addresses are on the tags each day because it really helps with late pick up.
- Lesson plans in Schoology- lesson plans are due every Friday in Schoology. Your specialists have been reviewing and will continue to review expectations for lesson planning for this school year.
- Small groups: Start working on routines for your students so you will be able to work with your small groups while students are working collaboratively or independently on other learning tasks. If you need support with getting routines in place, please ask your specialists, mentors, buddies, team leaders, and admin to come in and help!
- Raptor: Thank you for raptoring in each morning! This is a district expectation, so thank you for getting it in place!
- Dress Code: Same as last year! For newbies like me, see below. :)
