Parent-Teacher Conference Sign Up Opens, Thursday, January 26

District 58 invites parents and guardians to sign up for winter 2023 parent-teacher conferences using the online PowerPTC conference signup system at www.PowerPTC.net.

The signup window will close on Monday, Feb. 6 at 11 a.m.

Parent-teacher conferences will be held in person. However, families who require a remote option should schedule their conference in PowerPTC and then change the meeting type from “in person” to “video conference.”

Conferences will take place:

• Tuesday, Feb. 7 from 4:45-8 p.m.

• Thursday, Feb. 9 from 4:45-8 p.m.

We haven't had much snow this year, so our student council has helped us make some snow of our own! Each student received a snowflake, and they took the time to decorate it as they pleased and included information about themselves that makes them unique. Each, unique snowflake in our winter wonderland is on display in our front hallway. Stop on in as you are able to take a look.

We truly are blessed to have such diversity here at Belle Aire!

Please consider attending the District’s Facility Visioning Session on Monday, Jan. 30 from 6:30-8 p.m. at O’Neill. You will have an opportunity to learn more about District 58’s post-referendum draft facility plans and provide direct feedback, which the District will use to inform the final plans.

We are getting organized for our Half-Way to Herrick celebration for our sixth grade students.

The Halfway to Herrick event for 6th graders:

When: Tuesday February 28th, 12pm-4pm

(No school; Dist. 58 Teacher Institute Day)

Where: Main Event in Warrenville

T-shirts for our 6th graders will be provided for the event. We are asking parents to complete the Google form (below) and submit it as soon as possible. We hope to place the order next week. More details to follow. Thank you for your support!

Thank you to all of you who attended the Wizards vs. Grovetrotters game last Sunday! The gym was packed, your cheers were motivating, and the entertainment was awesome. If you were unable to attend this year, watch for future events to support the Foundation and to have a great time with family and friends.

We have just completed our 41st science fair in District 58, and we had well over 300 students participating. Belle Aire also had a good representation, and I enjoyed seeing our young scientists either at set-up last night or at the fair this morning. Thank you, parents, for encouraging and supporting their beyond-school learning. They were so excited, and I couldn't be more proud of their scientific curiosity. Well done!
