Dear Eagle View Families,

Thank you for your support and partnership making Eagle View a positive environment for kids and learning. The first two weeks of this year have flown by, students have adjusted back into routines and being back at school well. During these first two weeks, we gathered as a building in the newly painted lower level gym to kick off the year and celebrate our Patriot Pride. There were chills as the students sang our Respectful, Responsible and Safe song and created a rain storm together, which we have done virtually for the past two years.

The staff and I want to express our gratitude for your attendance at Open House. It was wonderful to see children with their families in the building and at the carnival. It reinforces the importance of the work we do for children every day at Eagle View.

The procedures of school and daily activities of your child’s classroom should be familiar and comfortable to them. If your child is still experiencing anxiety or any type of concerns, please contact either your child’s teacher, our Eagle View Social worker Ashley Ingmann, or Student Support Interventionist Lisa Loven. We will be happy to visit with you on the phone or to schedule a meeting to talk together regarding ideas to help your child or the situation.

Wishing you each a fall season filled with good books to read, warm fires, and memories to treasure.

Together in Education,

Melissa Hesch

Welcome back!

Welcome back to a new school year! E-STEM is off to a great start-the weather has been beautiful and it has been great to reconnect with the students as they move into a new grade. We spent the first week of school visiting our school gardens, which are looking great thanks to a big crew of volunteers who planted, weeded and cared for the garden boxes over the summer months. Students did an activity reviewing what E-STEM stands for and trying out different activities that we do during class such as measuring, observing and building. It was fun to hear about their fun outdoor summer adventures. Some treasures were brought to class and shared such as cool rocks, an intact snakeskin and plenty of big fish stories. One of the benefits of teaching a specials class is the chance to build longer lasting relationships with students over our shared awe and excitement about our outdoor world! We are looking forward to another year of outdoor learning together.
