CLIMATE, CULTURE & #EHTPride
Renaissance Theme Murals
Fernwood Cares students began painting murals of our Renaissance themes "Seas the Day" and "Fernwood Levels Up".
Wingmen Visit
Students from the Highschool as part of the "Wingman" program came by to play games and have fun with the entire 7th grade. Mr. Lee's class was privileged to have the "Purple Butterflies" Team of Hailey, Ava, and Grace hang out and play games with the entire class. Special thanks go out to these young ladies for taking time out of their day to visit us!
Family Feud
This year, the 8th Grade School Counselor, Mrs. Mento, has been conducting a social skills game of “Family Feud” with all 8th grade students. The game is held every month in each Pod’s Social Studies class. For the month of January, the topic has been “Self-Esteem.” Mrs. Mento conducted lessons in Mr. Komack’s classes for Blue Pod students; Mr. McAlister’s classes for Red Pod students; and Mr. Hammond’s classes for Gold Pod students. The students did a great job and participated positively in the lesson!
Communication Skills
This past week, Mrs. Errickson presented a social emotional learning lesson to all her 7th grade classes and students. The students engaged in a conversation about emotions and using different skills while communicating with others. Mrs. Errickson also reviewed student expectations as we are halfway through the 7th grade year. Students and teachers both enjoyed the discussion and lesson!
