After School Tutoring

After school tutoring will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting September 20th. Tutoring will start at 3:00 and end at 4:00 PM. All students participating in after school tutoring must have transportation home at 4:00:PM. A sign up link will be sent in next week's newsletter. We wanted to let you know early to provide you time to arrange for transportation.

Yearbooks on Sale Now

Even though the end of the year seems far away, now is the best time to order your yearbook! Yearbooks are now on sale for $38. Personalization is extra, but you can get up to four free icons if you order by September 23rd. See the posters around the school and the flyer being sent home today for ordering information.

Counselor's Corner

September is Suicide Prevention Month

Butterfly wings are a symbol of hope for both mental health awareness and suicide prevention awareness. September is Suicide prevention Awareness Month and DCMS will be participating in the YOU MATTER Traveling Mural. These beautiful butterfly wings will be on display outside of our media center September 15 & 16 and students will have the opportunity to take photos inside the wings.

Healthy Relationships through ELA Classes!

This year, we are offering a special program to our 6th called "Let's Talk: Healthy Communication" and to 7th graders called "Let's Talk: Healthy Relationships". These programs are both presented by a Rape Response educator. Information regarding this program was sent home via your child's ELA teacher, however it can also be accessed via the links below. Additionally, if you have any questions or concerns please reach out to Jordan LeFevre.
