Another wonderful week at Plumbrook

This week the spirit day fun continued. We also enjoyed a beautiful concert directed by Mrs. Lipare. the 1st and 5th grades and the 6th grade choir were able to showcase their musical talents. A huge thank you to Mrs. Lipare who worked tirelessly on the incredible show.

Mr. Stojkovic's ISM classes have Empathy!

This week, we continued our discussion of empathy. In our conversation, we discussed how some people spend the holidays with family, but others have to be alone during this time of year. The students felt bad and wanted to do something to cheer them up. As a gift for Pine Ridge retirement home, we decided to make paper stockings.

Students in Mrs. Comp's class decorated stockings after coloring them.

Students from Mrs. Hana's class helped with decorating and cutting.

The stockings were "stitched" (stapled) together by Mrs. St. Laurent's class.

Stockings will be labeled with residents' names, so everyone in the community center will have one. A bit of extra holiday cheer will be spread by filling them with candy.

Mrs. Mujkic's class investigated molecules

6th graders were investigating what gas molecules do when they are heated up or cooled down. The kids got so excited to see the bubble at the top of the water bottles!

PEP brought the highest fundraisers to the Repetarium!

Mrs. Mow's Class did STEM challenges!

Important: Second Marking Period Report Card Information

UCS is moving to a more secure method for sharing report cards with you. Previously, report cards were distributed over email to the addresses we have on file for families. Now, report cards will be accessed from your secure PowerSchool account.

Report cards will be posted in your PowerSchool account at noon on Monday, January 9, 2023.

Here are the top three things you need to know:

  • Access to the report cards will not be available through the PowerSchool app. The report cards are available by logging into your account through your favorite browser (Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.).
  • We strongly encourage you to make sure you can access your account by a web browser. If you need technical assistance, please contact our school office.
  • You must have a PowerSchool account to see the report card. If you do not have an account, please follow the instructions at this link.

For more information on how report cards will be shared, where to access the report cards, how to request a new password or set up a PowerSchool account, please see this link.
