What can the Library do for me?
As you settle in, you may find you need additional resources to support your curriculum, such as:
- Print or audio visual materials
- Technology integration
- Inter-library loans
- Class visits to the Library
- Reading promotion
- Instruction regarding research skills, digital resources, etc.
As your Librarian, my goal is not only to champion literacy but also to teach “information literacy” skills across the curriculum. Being literate in the 21st Century is not just about reading and writing and the ability to do math. It is teaching students to navigate the information superhighway safely and efficiently - to complete assignments, conduct research, find the best resources, and, of course, find the perfect books to read for pleasure.
We are partners in our students’ education, and I look forward to the coming year. I welcome the opportunity to visit with you. Please stop by the library, call, or email me if you have any questions.
