January 9, 2023-Happy New Years!
Dear Terrier Students and School Family,
As we come back from the Holiday break (First day back January 9), think about the time you spent with family. I know you were all positive supports for others. You all make a difference with students and/or families by making sure that you give students a voice to make a difference. The support leads to improvement.
Every day is a new fresh start to rejuvenate yourself and learn something new. The New Year is a fresh start to complete positive activities and use the positive energy to pursue your goals. Goals are always attainable if you have a plan. Have your plan for short term and long term. My plan is to make the school improve daily by providing support to everyone.
Students and families please look at Q at least once a week to see what your child's grade is. Students can make adjustments to improve or maintain your grade. Ask your teacher for extra credit, if you can redo a test/quiz, and/or turn in missing assignments.
Some suggestions on thoughts or actions to continue to ponder:
· I know you all know your why….What are your actions that help achieve your why?
· Think about your positive aspects in life… (E.g. wonderful family, nice friends, etc.) Once you think about them then appreciate them.
· Consider helping someone in need. (e.g. Call a friend or family member to tell them you care)
· Be safe, be caring, and show support to others (including yourself-because you are AmaZing).
At our school, we follow SPARK! Meaning we, are all Safe, Positive, Active learner, Respectful, Kind. As Terriers it is important that students be an upstander and not a bystander when a student is not following the rules. Please report all forms of bullying to an adult. We have a strong anti-bullying process. Please use the link to report any bullying to our team. We will investigate and provide a resolution.
