News from Plattin Primary
January 2018
December Notes:
Welcome back, I hope everyone had a well rested holiday! The staff and I are excited about the next semester ahead, we have lots to learn as we finish out the year!
- Throughout December we celebrate the holiday season with dress up Fridays! Thank you those who participated.
- PTO and JHS Boosters hosted Night with Santa with a Polar Express Theme.
- Plattin Primary collected many items for the Open Door Sanctuary. Character Summit and representatives from 2nd grade went on a field trip to the Open Door Sanctuary on December 15.
- The Giving Tree Drive was a huge success, we collected over 120 gifts for our Plattin Families. Thank you to our community and staff for supporting those who are in need during this time of year! The Jefferson R-VII district adopted over 35 families this year and was able to meet the needs of all.
- December 19 was the 80th Day of School-hard to believe it's already been 80 days!
- On our last of school we had visitors from Jefferson College speak to us about taking care of our pets! Thank you for visiting and teaching us about our "pawfect" family members.

News From The Office
- As we head into colder temperatures, please know we will go outside as long as the weather and wind chill is above 30 degrees. Send coats, gloves, and hats each day to make sure your child is warm enough for outside play.
- Reminder Car Riders can begin to drop off at 7:20AM, if you require earlier drop off please speak with Coach Wilson about Kids Korner.
- Thank you for keeping up with your child's lunch account balance we hope the systems we have in place keep you informed of their balances. If they choose to order extras they must have a positive balance in the account.
- If you plan to have lunch with your child please send a note or call in the morning to order a tray. We love having family visit with us but need to accurately prepare the food for our visitors.
- When your child is feeling under the weather or is sick please call the Office or Nurse Amy so we may document the absence. If we do not hear from you by 8:30AM we will contact you. The office staff is available from 7:15-4:00PM daily.
