Kiss The Pig!
Parent Teacher Conferences
We are excited for the opportunity to meet with parents/guardians regarding their student's progress on October 11th and 12th. Our school is using Microsoft Bookings to schedule each meeting. These meetings will be 20 minutes each. Conferences will be held in person unless your family would prefer the meeting be held online via Microsoft Teams. When signing up you must select in person or Teams. After scheduling, an e-mail will be sent with the link to join the meeting online. You will only need this link if you prefer to meet online. Please only sign up for one time slot per teacher. Don't forget to select your student's teacher when making the appointment. This is an important step to be sure you are scheduling with the correct teacher. Thank you for setting aside time to meet to discuss your child's progress and please reach out if you have any additional questions.
Please follow THIS LINK to schedule your conferences.
Happy National Custodian Day to Maria and Amissa! We appreciate you so much!
SoleKIDs running program is coming to Discovery!
SoleKIDs is a non-profit organization designed to develop your child into a lifelong healthy, active runner. Practices take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-5:30pm at Discovery, supervised by Coach Karina. All students, all ages, are welcome to join! The student-athletes will participate in a 5k on the blue Boise State football field in November! Click here to register!
Late Start Wednesdays
Please see the school district website for a complete list of the weekly bell schedules.
Individual Picture Retakes - October 18th
If your student was absent for picture day or is new to Discovery, pictures will be taken on Wednesday, October 18th. You can contact Parker Portraits for additional information at 208-345-0807.
Fit for Fun!
Once again, Discovery is partnering with Wahooz to offer a fun fitness incentive for our students! Students who exercise 30 minutes a day for a total of 20 hours during the months of October and November can turn in their completed exercise log to earn a WAHOOZ Ultimate Unlimited Fun Pass! Exercise logs, complete with parent signature, are due to Mrs. Jensen or Mr. Padour by FRIDAY, DECEMBER 1st, 2023. Students will be learning about this opportunity in their Health and PE classes, but I wanted parents to get the information as well. Below is the exercise log you can download and print in case your child missed getting one in class.
Thanks for supporting our efforts in keeping our kids active both in school and outside of school!
