Fir trees and fine Balsam Wreaths again this holiday season, delivered to your door!
As usual, our trees are available for pre-order at www.beaverboosters.org

We are offering free delivery to all homes inside the WHES zone and within a 1 mile radius of the school (1211 Jahnke Rd) and to all WHES staff. We do invite you to add-on a delivery donation to your order if you choose, and we will be most appreciative if you do to further our fundraising efforts. We thank you for your generosity and support!
We will also deliver to any home within a 3 mile radius for a small fee ($10). If you live more than 3 miles from school we still appreciate your support, but please contact Bryce Lyle at fundraising@beaverboosters.org prior to ordering to arrange delivery. Big Wig Family Night Distribution Event
This was such a HUGE team effort! There were many many moving pieces and I want to be sure to recognize everyone who played a role in making sure this was such a tremendous success:
- Initial Workbook Distribution: Thank you to Sherrie McKeithan and Tammy Blackstone for helping us get a jumpstart on handing out over 5000 student workbooks and trade books!
- Data Tracker: Thank you to Rickeita Jones, Janea Reed, and Tammi Robertson for ensuring that all our MAP and PALs data was accurately entered into the spreadsheet that the teachers would use for their Goal & Growth Profiles.
- Student Goal & Growth Profiles: Thank you to our teachers (gen ed, exceptional ed, humanities, SPACE, ESL) for your thoughtful and individualized glows and goals for each of your students. Your love and caring shines through your written words! Thanks to Janea for drafting the template that we used to merge all the comments and data into a reader friendly document!
- Prep Work Logistics: Putting together 400 binders (with individualized data sections containing students' report cards, PALs, MAP, and their goal & growth profiles) and grade-level supply bags, along with completing the workbook/trade book distribution represented a TREMENDOUS amount of work. This was possible through the efforts of our own WHES Team Members (Patricia King, Pam Williams, Sharon Epps, and Julie Lawson); parent volunteers (Anna Mason, Erin Thomas); and community volunteers (Beth Equi, Lynn Faugot, Zak Faugot, Eileen Lord, Alicia Meyers, Lucy & Gail). Thank you for your meticulous work to ensure that every student had exactly what they needed for this distribution!!
- Distribution at the event: We were so grateful to our team members and parent volunteers who braved a very cold evening to ensure that we could safely put these supplies, books, and pizza in the hands of our students and their families! Thank you those who checked people in (Aliyah Hoye, Jake Sawyer, Crystal Wherrity, and Chelsea Manzo); our runners (Joi Smith, Erica Buie, Julie Lawson, Alexandra Thompson, Jonathan Wheelock, Georgia LeNoir, her student teacher Mr. Vee, Taren Heinrich, Joe Seifert, Chelsea Manzo, Meredith Huston, Marita Harrison, & Jody Lyle); our technology experts who definitely had the coldest spots all night (Melanie Barker & Rickeita Jones); our pizza people (Julie Gentry, Mrs. Baum); our crossing guard for the evening (Andrea McNeil); and our logistics guru for the event (Anna Mason).
- Home delivery of supplies: Thank you to the following team members who heard from parents that were unable to come up to the school to pick up their child(ren)'s supplies and brought their supplies to them: Tammy Blackstone, Laura Mueller, Aliyah Hoye, Abbie Radcliffe
- Beaver Boosters Family Mtg: later that evening, our Beaver Boosters led a fun meeting where we did a fun family craft (Wild Turkey Goals) that the officers had put together for every family to receive during the distribution earlier that day. Thank you to the board that secured and/or assembled the various parts of the craft (Kelly Gerow, Richard Lucyshyn, Aliyah Hoye, Nyiaka James, Jody Lyle) and the officers who led the meeting (Aliyah, Kelly, Jody, Nyiaka, & Kristin Saybe).
- Our partners at home: All of the parents, grandparents, family, friends, and people who love our kids as we are all working so hard to make virtual learning happen everyday… both the ones who attended the drive through on Wednesday and the ones who already came by to pick up their students supplies from the school through the rest of the week and those who will come early next week.
We deeply appreciate ALL the work and collaboration that happened to make this event such a success. We are definitely #StrongerTogether!!
