Note from Mrs. Donnell

We began our new pickup procedure for the K-6th grade students this week. It has gone marvelously and we have only had to make a couple of adjustments. The CCS staff thanks you for your patience with this change. Change is always hard, but like God’s love, it never goes away.

Grandparents’ Day was a huge success! The PTF did a marvelous job hosting the event and preparing all of the food, activities and set-up. The ECCC Elders assisted in setup and CCS Jr/Sr High students and our custodians made quick work of the clean-up! Huge thank you’s go out to all who participated, cooked, set up, cleaned up, planned and attended. God was truly blessed today from CCS students, staff and families.

Tomorrow, Saturday, September 9th is our Drive 4UR School event at Renner Ford. Please take the time to go and test drive a new Ford vehicle and help CCS earn money for our school. Each test drive will benefit CCS with $20.00. No other way is as easy as this to help CCS raise money.

God continues to bless me each and everyday at CCS. You will hear me say, over and over again, that God knew what I needed and met my need by sending me to CCS. Thank you all for your continued prayers and support.

In Christ’s Love,

Mrs. Donnell

Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 9 for Drive 4 UR School at Renner Ford.

Raise funds for CCS with Ford.

It's so simple.

For every valid test drive taken with a CCS volunteer in a Ford vehicle, Ford will donate $20 to CCS up to $6,000. The goal is to raise the maximum donation of $6,000 at this Drive 4 UR School event. There is absolutely NO sales pressure, you will take a test drive with a CCS volunteer. Watch for more details to come.

Elementary Chapel

Mr. Wildey displayed his own piggy bank and explained that a little spare change will pay for a vacation- a little bit at a time, day by day. The Bible says to be careful about hoarding our money on earthly things. We should be storing up our treasures in Heaven. Day by day, as you do things to be a servant to others, it adds up. Store them up so one day in Heaven, while meeting Jesus face to face you'll hear, "Well done my good and faithful servant." What can YOU do today for someone around you to store up a treasure?

Junior & Senior High Chapel

Mr. Wildey gave a very powerful lesson on Matthew 7:13-23. Are you a false prophet or do you speak truth into others? We make church like a country club religion, coming to get filled and then go out to do our own things. Our goal should not be to look like the world but to look like Jesus Christ. We should compare ourselves not to others but to scripture.

Mr. Wildey spoke on Romans 5:12-18 about the importance of leaving a legacy to your children and grandchildren. Whether you are acting positively or negatively, you are leaving that legacy to all the eyes who are watching you.
