SAVE THE WHALES
Fish are friends, not food!
There are many good companies out in the world who have started organizations to save the whales. But the problem is not many people are or will never take action. More than 2000 whales will be killed this year. Why are they killing whales? Most whales are killed for their blubber, oil, bones, and meat. Whaling is illegal in most countries throughout the world, but in countries such as Japan, Norway, and Iceland, this terrible action is happening. Whaling is cruel and needs to come to a close.

The earliest record of whaling was in 3000 B.C. | Since 1986, over 25,000 whales have been murdered legally for “scientific research.” | There are about 80 known species of whales. |
A baby whale is called a calf. Whales form groups to look after calves and feed together. These groups are often made up of all female or all male whales. | The beluga is able to swim backwards. | Whales love to sing! They use this as a call to mates, a way to communicate and also just for fun! After a period of time they get bored of the same whale song and begin to sing a different tune. |

PLAN FOR ACTION
What can we do? The whales need our help, we can recycle, be energy proficient, bike and walk more frequently. Whales are nearing the brink of extinction, this year may be their last. So take a stand and SAVE THE WHALES!
