A Visit from the Zoo
We enjoyed a visit from Philadelphia Zoo on Monday. We met Oliver the rabbit, Peanut the turtle, a legless lizard, and a spectacled owl. We enjoyed petting Oliver and checking out an extra long snake skin and a leopard pelt.
Writing Workshop
We have been sharing our published work from our most recent unit. We used ideas from Donald Crews to create personal narratives. We are now jumping into our next unit, writing a "How to" book.
Mother's Day
We are very busy preparing some special surprises for next Friday. We hope you are able to join us. Please RSVP if you have not already!
Science Fun
Our science unit this spring is a great one because it gives another excuse (if we needed one) to get outside! This week we sketched trees and did bark rubbings. We also planted bean seeds and sunflower seeds. A few bean seedlings are poking out of the soil. We can't wait to see what they look like on Monday!
Math news
We are finishing subtraction and starting on teen numbers (11-20) next week.
