Centennial's Newsday Tuesday
Families' Weekly Newsletter 4/12/22
A Note from the Principal
Hi, Centennial Families!
I hope my message finds you and yours doing well!
There's much excitement around Centennial this week, partly due to the Easter holiday coming this weekend and the knowledge that this is a 4-day in-person school week. Please remember that Friday is a remote learning day and your child's teacher will be sending home assignments on Thursday afternoon.
I wish you and your family a wonderful weekend overflowing with goodness.
Just a few reminders this week:
Next Year's Class Placement / Parent Input Form (Optional, Due April 22)
Families, as we are already planning to make sure that next year is as positive and successful as possible, we are asking parents to please offer feedback on students' class placement for next year.
We were so excited to recognize some of our students demonstrating our "Great Expectations Life Principles" at our Grades 3-5 Centennial Celebration last Friday!
The students who were recognized have received certificates and have either eaten lunch in the principals' office or have been invited to do so! Congratulations to these young leaders and their families! See photos below for a snapshot of recognized students!

- We have a few spots available to reserve at each lunch time, each day
- Family members sit only with their own child (sorry, no other students to maintain safety/security of all students; thank you for understanding)
- Sunny day option: outside picnic table seating
- Sign up to visit / bring lunch on your child's birthday / half-birthday here!

DADS, Did you know?
\WATCH D.O.G.S. is one of the nation’s largest and most respected school-based, family, and community engagement organizations in the country. Since the program’s creation in 1998, more than 6,800 schools across the country have launched a WATCH D.O.G.S. program of their own. Each school year hundreds of thousands of fathers and father-figures make a positive impact on millions of children by volunteering millions of hours in their local schools through this amazing one-of-a-kind program. Who are WatchDOGS? Fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, uncles, and other father figures who volunteer to serve at least one day a year in a variety of school activities as assigned by the school principal or office team. (These jobs include helping to supervise games at recess, reading to classes, helping with campus beautification projects, and much more!)
PLUS: YOU and Your Child(ren) will be mentioned on a school-wide announcement on the day(s) you serve!
