First Grade Survived 100 Days of School
The first grade classroom was decorated like a jungle, and the students came dressed in camouflage or animal print. In true "Survivor" style, the students were assigned a tribe, gave their tribe a name, designed a tribal flag, competed in challenges, and enjoyed a special 100th day treat.

We are continuing our frog research and students are creating a frog research journal. Through this they are learning different research strategies and applying ways to find important information in books and online.
In math, we have wrapped up our unit on multiplication and division. Students were practicing strategies of how to divide bigger numbers. Although it was a challenging task, they succeeded using manipulatives like money and base 10 blocks to help them understand!
