Abraham Lincoln: Assassination
Come see this thrilling new movie!
April 14th, 1865
It seemed like a normal day at the Fords Theater, but what would happen would change history.
Abraham Lincoln, his wife, and some friends went to the theater on April 14th, 1865. It was supposed to be an enjoyable afternoon, but John Wilkes Booth had other plans. He was going to assassinate the president. He came up from behind him while the play was going and shot him directly in his head. He then jumped out of the presidential box (while breaking his leg in the process) and made his escape.
Lincoln was rushed across the street for medical attention. However, it was to no avail. The next morning, Abe Lincoln passed away.
