Something To Inspire

Something To Make Us Think/Help Us Grow...

Joe Sanfelippo is a former principal, now superintendent in Fall Creek, Wisconsin, that I have followed on Facebook and Twitter for several years (another reason to build your online PLN). He has a positive outlook on just about everything, while being a realist at the same time. Frequently on his 1-minute walk to work, he records a brief thought for the day. Here is a recent one - something we all know, but something of which it never hurts to be reminded. :)

OSE Bulletin Boards SHINE!

Traci and I can't wait to see the creative ways you have transformed your hallway bulletin boards with the information we have been sharing over the last 3 weeks! To summarize, the elements of effective bulletin boards we should see and will be looking for are:

  • Student work is the main focus
  • The standard or learning target the work was intended to meet/address is displayed
  • Board is eye-catching & visually appealing with colorful background, border, and title
  • Board contains current student work

We are so excited to see our hallways brighten up and SHINE with the amazing work that students produce as a result of what each of you are teaching and that students are learning in your classrooms! Look for our feedback in various ways this week!

Big picture

Something To Make Us Laugh....
Have a fantastic week - shine bright!
